Cleansing Crystals

Hello all my beautifuls! I know how eager you all are to learn about crystals, their powers, how to use them.. but first you need to know how to clean, programme and charge them especially for you. 🔮🙌🏻

Every single Crystal you own can hold unwanted, heavy or old energy, so it’s so important to cleanse them regularly. Cleansing is especially important when you buy a new crystal or when you’ve been using an in-particular crystal a lot. Even more so when going through a difficult time ⭐ Cleansing a crystal allows the true healing powers and beauty of the stone to shine through!

There are so many ways you can cleanse a crystal from simple to more practical methods. There are also more elaborate techniques that can take cleansing a crystal to a deeper kind of ritual. I have my own favourite ways of cleansing which I’m going to share with you but I recommend you always go for the way that intuitively works best for you! 🌈❤

One of the simplest but most graceful ways of purifying a crystal is through smudging tools like sage or Palo Santo wood. 💫 Both of these tools produce such a distinctive smell and smoke! When I burn them, depending on what I’m doing I move it slowly and mindfully around the crystal/s or if it’s my home then around every room in my home! It’s amazing to watch the smoke dance a cleansing trail around my crystals and sacred space, lifting and shifting unwanted energies, carrying them up and away! 🙌🏻😍 I ALWAYS make sure I have a window open whenever possible, or even better do it outside.. this gives the negative and unwanted energies an escape route! I will go more into using smudging tools on another live or post 🙏

Did you know if you have quite a few crystals to do at one time, the most practical and quickest way to do it is through sound! Striking a singing bowl a couple of times or sounding chimes over your crystals will very quickly help to bring your crystals back to there most harmonious and highest state 🔮

If you have heard of or like the idea of using a water based cleansing ritual, after all we do cleanse ourselves in water.. then you can simply run your crystals under some pure water. Natural running water I would say is best, if you have the option there but if not running them under your cold tap will be just fine! The natural flow of the water will drain away unwanted energies!

❌Beware not all crystals are water friendly❌ Due to the toxicity & softness some crystals must not come in contact with water! Please check with a complete toxic crystal list before doing this way of cleansing!

Some people may be very lucky and live somewhere like the Cotswolds, whereas many of us live in the city meaning no real access to pure & natural free running water. If you are lucky enough to live somewhere where you are by natural running water, please take full advantage and cleanse your crystals as often as you can! 🙏 For those who don’t, maybe write in your diary once a month you will venture out the find somewhere peaceful in nature to create a sacred space and cleanse your mind, body, soul and crystals 🔮❤

I am blessed that my grandparents have a caravan home on a site that has the River Thames running through it! The energy around there is so so peaceful, I never want to leave. A way of charging your crystals in natural running water is this, stand/sit, create a space whatever you choose next to the running water, say a small blessing/prayer and carefully one by one hold your crystals in the water. (Please don’t drop them or let go 😂I hold no responsibilities) This allows our beautiful Mother Nature to cleanse their energy! Always make sure you give thanks to the spirit of the water. You could also take a small bottle and take some of the water away with you to use at a later date! 💧

So we’re nearly done, only 2 more cleansing methods I have left to tell you 😂🙈 I’m so sorry if I’m going on, I just want to give you everything I know and have learnt so you can charge and cleanse your crystals the best way possible whilst feeling confident in what your doing! 🙌🏻⭐

Sometimes I feel like all of the methods above are just not enough or my crystals just need that little bit of a deeper programming! So this is what I do.. The Earth it was we call upon, The universe, Mother Nature, the great divine.. whatever you choose to call it.. so it makes sense to make use of what we have all around us. I bury my crystals in the Earth. I almost always use this method when I have received new crystals or if I’ve been using a collection/one crystals a lot! Cleansing this way really helps to direct any unwanted, or bad energy away from your crystal and back into the Earth! If you wanted to make this process into more of a ritual you could always add a blessing in before burying them! I normally only leave them buried for 24 hours maximum but I have read that some people leave them in there for days, or even a week depending on how deeper cleanse they are wanting to do!😱

I do understand completely that this might not be an option for everyone. I know this because I myself live in a flat and have no back garden.. but where there’s a will there’s a way!! 🤗🤔 If you are in the same boat as me don’t fret! You can bury your crystals in a big bowl of either sand or soil. It doesn’t have to be something you need to buy you can use a plant you already have within your home. Just pop it on the balcony or window ledge, somewhere I won’t get knocked over! ☺

You made it 🙌🏻🙏🙈 I’m nearly done.. for now! The last but definitely not least method that I want to share with you all is soaking your beautiful crystals in the moonlight! 🌙🌘

The moon is SO SO powerful! It has the most majestic and beautiful energies. Place your crystals outside in your garden, again if you don’t have a garden like me, a windowsill is fine ⭐ Its really that simple, the moon will then take charge and let its beautiful rays cleanse the energy of your stones! I try to do this weekly, but sometimes ending up being monthly. If it does end up being monthly, I always make sure I do some form of meditation or ritual blessing over the crystals before I leave them to cleanse overnight under the moonlight. It doesn’t have to be a full moon, but obviously a full moon is much more intense and power than say a quarter moon.. I actually have an app on my phone that tells you everything you need to know about the moon and what it’s doing! 🌚🌕
